Genelia D'Souza recovers from Covid-19


Genelia D'Souza, Covid-19 test resulted negative. Three weeks ago she was tested as positive and was in isolation period for 21 days. She didn't bear any symptoms during the isolation period. Meanwhile, the actress share the challenges she faced in these days. She said it was the most challenging period to deal with. No amount of contacts or technologies can kill the evil of loneliness. She is very happy to be with her family and loved ones she added.

Genelia D'Souza born on August 08Th 1987 in Mumbai. She has acted in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. Genelia is an East Indian, Christian from North Konkan, who knows to speak Marathi well. Her father Neil D'Souza and mother Jeanette D'Souza. And her younger brother named Nigel D'Souza, who works with Bombay Stock Exchange - BSE located at Dalal Street, Mumbai. Her father is an Senior Official with Tata Consultancy Services and her mother earlier served as a Managing Director with Pharma Multinational Corporation.

She achieved her first film award in 2006 for acting in the telugu film Bommarillu (House of Dolls). Santosh Subramaniam is the remake of Bommarillu. Bommarillu produced by Dil Raju and directed by Bhaskar. The film starring :-Siddharth, Genelia, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. The film was released on 06th August 2006.  Genelia did her first task of modelling at the age of 15 being as a bridesmaid at wedding. She was called to act with Amitabh Bachchan for the Parker Pen Commercial. The selection was known just two days before exams. So initially she refused to act because of her exams the next day. But the director convinced Genelia to shoot for the commercial. She got nice comments from Amitabh Bachchan for Parker Pen commercial. He commented, she is good and her expression is marvellous. She further did a advertisement with Cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in the fair and lovely 2003 Cricket World Cup ad.

When Genelia was offered a role in Tujhe Meri Kasam, initially she refused as she was not eager to follow a career in acting. But the film company didn't accept the refusal and kept contacting her for two months. She saw the telugu version of the movie and agreed for acting. In 2006, resulted a notable point in Genelia's acting career in South Indian Films. In the earlies of 2006, she completed two films in telugu. The romantic movie Happy and Raam. And then came the acting of movie Bommarillu, that resulted blockbuster. Her character was well received in this movie. And she was admired with Santosham Award for Best Actress and Nandi Special Jury Award.

Her Spouse Riteish Deshmukh and they have 2 children's. Riteish Deshmukh is an actor, television presenter, producer and entrepreneur. He is familiar for his great work in Hindi and Marathi Cinemas. He is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh an Indian politician and former chief minister of Maharashtra. Vilasrao Deshmukh served two terms as the chief minister of Maharashtra. In the years 1999-2003 and 2004-2008. He passed away on 14Th August 2012. Riteish Deshmukh's mother Vaishali Deshmukh.
