Air Marshal PP Singh passes away at 92


Air Marshal PP Singh who was adorned with Maha Vir Chakra during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in the Indian Air Force on 15th April 1950.  He had the privilege of serving as ADC to the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

Air Marshall PP Singh was appointed as the Air Officer commanding -in -chief of the Southern Western Air command in 1986 and held that position till his retirement in February, 1987.

The Maha Vir Chakra was awarded on September 6, 1965.

Air Marshall PP Singh passed away at Command Hospital, Chandimandir, after a brief illness. He was 92 years old.
